Affiliate and advertising disclosure

Wordstack is a publication, not a storefront. Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, Wordstack may earn a commission. You pay the same price.

Amazon Associates India

Wordstack is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme, which means we may earn advertising fees from qualifying purchases made through Amazon.in (and, if used, other Amazon storefronts). Hardware and desk-tool posts are the most likely place you will see those links.

Amazon tracking IDs are not hardcoded. They are read from the AMAZON_ASSOC_TAG environment variable and appended only when that value is set. No Amazon tracking tag is configured on this deployment, so Amazon links are not tagged.

Tool and software affiliates

We may also use affiliate programs from software and hosting vendors — coding tools, infrastructure, or desktop stacks. Those links are treated the same way: disclosed on the post when affiliate: true is set in the frontmatter, and never allowed to rewrite the conclusion.

Editorial rule

A commission is not a recommendation. If a paid tool is worse than a free one for the job, that is what the piece should say. Seed posts on this site currently have affiliate: false until there is a real program and a real reason to attach links.

Ads

Display ads, if enabled, use Google AdSense and only render when NEXT_PUBLIC_ADSENSE_CLIENT is set. There are no placeholder ads and no invented publisher ids.

Photographs

Cover images are photographs from Unsplash, used under the Unsplash License. They are hosted with the site so pages do not depend on a third-party CDN at runtime.
