The connector matched. The power profiles did not. A 20W brick will fill a phone and starve a laptop. A 100W brick will do both and still confuse a cheap cable.
The honest kit in 2026 is one high-watt charger, two cables you trust, and a label on the rest so they do not migrate back into the bag.
Standards closed the port argument. They did not close the drawer.
