The pitch is always capture: speak, paste, let the model file it. That is the easy hour. The hard hour is later, when you need the one decision from last Tuesday.
Most tools still retrieve by vibe. They return a paragraph that sounds adjacent. They do not return the number, the name, or the no.
If you pay for an AI notes layer, test it on recall, not on how pretty the daily summary looks. Summaries are cheap. Finding the actual line is the product.
